Susan G. Komen for the Cure ceasing funding of Planned Parenthood

Yeah, you heard that right! Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a breast cancer organization that has long been a difficult case for Catholics (whether to donate or not), has pulled its funding to Planned Parenthood because "Planned Parenthood is under investigation in Congress," a result of a probe by a Republican Congressman (Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-FL).

This is great news! For years, Catholics have debated about the morality of giving to organizations like Susan G. Koman for the Cure, which overwhelmingly provides support for breast cancer research but, at the same time, gives a small portion to Planned Parenthood.

It seems that the debate can now end, in regards to Susan G. Komen at least.

BUT THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN!

The media and the left-wing extremists are attacking Komen for their decision (just read the MSNBC article, or the Huffington Post). A lot of money has been pulled from them, which means WE CATHOLICS need to help them out.

Please visit the Susan G. Koman for the Cure website and make a small donation of $10 or $20. They need to know that we Catholics are ready to stand behind them and fight with them. It won't take long, and it's not that much money.
