Bishop Bode's Prostration and the Holy Father's Prayer

Two very important events occured recently, and even though I posted today, I believe that this is too important to wait on.

On November 27, the Holy Father released a prayer for the protection of life and the family at the conclusion of the Prayer Vigil for the Unborn. Here is a link to the English translation. It's a beautiful prayer.

The second bit of news is that a bishop in Germany- Bishop Franz-Josef Bode- held a Penance Service in which he prostrated himself, an act of penance before G-d for the sins of the sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. I celebrate any bishop that does what Bishop Bode did, offering up the sins of the Church Militant to G-d through penance and prayer.
