I learned long ago how to tell when I had won. It didn't matter what it was (an argument, a video game, a sports game), the reaction was always the same. In the like manner, people could always tell when they had gotten the better of me (and I could tell it myself, which made it all the more frustrating). This key to knowing when you've won is when the person/opponent starts to hurl the insults. Those insults might be directed at the winner (you're just too stupid to understand), at the video game (my weapons suck, you got the better guns), at the sports equipment (my bat's too old, these shoes aren't great), or whatever else the person can think of. My younger brother is especially adept at this, as he really starts the childish insults and the "not-my-faults" when he's really losing.
Well, the same has happened to a group of priests that have prayed at an abortion clinic. You can read the article here, and it's a good read.
Basically (and very basically, because you should read the article itself), the abortionists have seen a dramatic decrease in abortions (around 50% unofficial reports state). Therefore, they have taken to name calling and outright cruelty to those priests who are a visible sign of G-d's love to women going to have an abortion. In the latest case, a sign was posted at the abortion clinic saying "F&*$ your perverted priests". Granted, our perverted priests are horrible people, but I think the sign was directed towards the non-perverted priests standing outside praying the Rosary. Another sign was posted on one of the priest's car (vandalism?) saying "I rape children".
Again, please read the article. It gives a great story about the sacrifice of some of these priests, as well as some of the cruelty these priests have faced.
These abortionists have realized that they've lost (or are at least losing badly), and have reverted to what my little brother does when I am destroying him at Halo... name calling. HEY, ABORTIONISTS! GROW UP!!!
I would love your comments on this, but I would also love any stories you might have to share about suffering in the name of pro-life (and that means all pro-life).
